7 Things

I was recently tagged by Joel Ives of Century 21 Colonial Realty in the "7things" viral chain letter, hard to explain thingy.  Check out Joel's "7things" for another example.

The Rules:

* Share seven facts about yourself in the post.

Now mine below:

1. When I was younger I was in figure skating (helped in hockey though).

2.    I threw a chair at my grade one teacher because she corrected my English writing.  Since then I have gotten better at taking criticism...kind of.

3.     Pretty much broke up with my first girlfriend because she liked “pop” culture. 

4.    Almost failed grade 1, 4, 7, 10 and got honours in 9, 11, 12.  Figure that out.

5.    Caused a beach wide search and rescue in Florida when I was a toddler.  Helicopters, police, dogs, the whole thing.  Took off after my sister Bobbie, wouldn’t build a sandcastle with me.  She still gets blamed...must suck being the middle child.  Anyways I just snuck into a hotel pool that bordered along the beach.  So I was swimming in there the whole time having the time of my life while everyone was crying and looking for me.

6.    I missed a flight to England two summers ago because it was a midnight flight and I got the day mixed up. I must've check that ticket a million times for two weeks leading up to the flight and then figured it out right before I went to go to Halifax.    For some reason my Mom always claims it was her fault because she "confused me". ha. I blame it on the job hunt stress I had going on at the time.  I have never felt so stupid in my life, funny looking back at it now though. 

Anyways because I missed that flight I got an interview with Joel at Century 21 Colonial Realty and then began my journey into the Google underworld.  Joel tagged me in his post to write this,  so if you put it all together the only reason I am writing this right now is because I missed a flight two summers ago.   I still can’t escape it!

7.    For someone who talks a lot about young people’s adoption of technology I am struggling to find anyone my own age that actually has a blog!
